Role Summary
The Application Solution Lead is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software applications that meet the needs of the organization. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure that applications are aligned with business objectives and technical requirements. The ideal candidate will have a significant amount of experience in application development and leadership roles, demonstrating strong technical and project management skills.
How you will make your mark
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of software applications, ensuring they meet business requirements and technical standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
- Oversee the application development lifecycle, including planning, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of applications through effective architecture and design.
- Manage a team of developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Coordinate with IT and business teams to integrate applications with existing systems and processes.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending improvements and innovations.
- Develop and maintain documentation for application development processes, standards, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Front and Back Office Solutions:
- Select and implement front office solutions that enhance customer engagement, streamline sales processes, and improve overall customer experience.
- Evaluate and implement back office solutions that optimize internal operations, including finance, HR, and procurement.
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand their application needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Assess existing applications, map to business capabilities, and identify opportunities for consolidation.
- Develop a proposed application/platform strategy outlining the short-term and long-term technology stack, development frameworks, and standards that integrate with the overall enterprise architecture.
- Ensure that solutions integrate seamlessly with existing systems and support scalability and security.
- Produce detailed architecture and design documents for planned solutions.
This is the job for you if you have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- A significant amount of experience in application development and leadership roles.
- Strong technical skills in software development.
- Experience with application architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
- Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies is preferred.
- Experience in working with cloud platforms, Azure is preferred.
