Job description
Programme Director
At KPMG, you will bring your industry knowledge and technology experience to map customer business challenges to cloud technology solutions, shape end-to-end transformational journeys, and deliver real business value to our clients. In this role, you will be own and manage the delivery of some very exciting client engagements, lead pre-sales activities/proposals and be responsible for delivering our portfolio of technology solutions, whilst maintaining deep executive-level client relationships.
As part of this leadership role, you will act as a leader for our teams, and coach and mentor junior members in their own career progressions whilst contributing to our overall go-to-market activities through building the KPMG brand and being visible as a leading advisor within our clients, the market, and our alliance partners. You will also be a key part of the governance layer within the practice ensuring compliance and quality is at the heart of our delivery.;
This role demands a strategic thinker with deep expertise in Microsoft technologies, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in program management coupled with strong commercial and stakeholder management. The Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams, , to ensure that all projects align with the company’s business goals and deliver exceptional value to our clients.
The Programme Director role will have the following responsibilities:
- Develop and drive the strategic vision for the program management of Microsoft enabled Transformation programs, aligning with the company’s objectives and market trends
- Lead the planning and execution of delivery plans, ensuring that projects are prioritised and aligned with business goals
- Collaborate with senior executives and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with product strategies and industry best practices
- Oversee the management of multiple, concurrent projects across diverse teams, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Implement best practices in program and project management, including Agile methodologies, to enhance efficiency and effectiveness and drive the quality agenda
- Monitor program performance metrics and provide regular updates to senior management, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies
- Ensure that program deliverables meet quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams, to ensure alignment and satisfaction
- Act as the primary point of contact for escalations and critical issues, resolving conflicts and ensuring seamless communication across all parties
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support business development efforts and client engagement strategies
- Lead the adoption of new Microsoft products and features, ensuring that the organization leverages the full potential of these technologies
- Be accountable for the commercials and risk metrics for a portfolio of programs
The Person
- Excellence in consulting skills, with the ability to present complex solutions to business executives. Previous experience in a large consulting organisation is a plus
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in program management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Extensive experience with Microsoft products, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and other enterprise solutions
- Proven track record of managing large-scale, complex projects with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Experience doing application migrations including target selection, infrastructure sizing and costing, and familiarity with leading migration tools present in the market
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with a proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
- Excellent strategic planning and organisational skills, with a keen attention to detail and a focus on results.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and engaging stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, and Kanban
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire teams and develop excellent client relationships
- Embraces a growth mindset for business development, with an ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Collaborative ways of working with clients and KPMG teams
- Self-motivated and able to inspire and motivate others to deliver to the highest standards

Certifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is preferred
