Role Sumary:

 

Global Immigration Engagement Management services are vital for our global growth plans and will ensure the success of our GMS Immigration practice. The Global Engagement Management team is a network of professionals across the world who support our KPMG firms in their objectives of providing consistently exceptional services to our clients. The Global Immigration Engagement Management Assistant Manager is an experience and enthusiastic member of the KDN engagement team with previous supervising experience.This role creates value through to the client service team through supervising and providing guidance to more junior members of the client servicing team.

 

The role will also have the chance to contribute to the continuous development of our global processes and technology to support the consistency of high levels of service delivery across our client engagements globally. This is an exciting opportunity with scope for progression for the right individual. The successful candidate should have a deep understanding of immigration matters, strong communication skills, credibility, and the ability to drive success within the KPMG network.

 

How you will make your mark:

 

The assistant manager role will include but not limited the following activities:

 

• Act as first point of contact for our Global coordinated clients, and be able to take forward simple requests and escalations without the need of supervision. Work closely with the Managers in more complicated matters
• Have awareness and understanding of client SLAs and ensure the Member Firms deliver against the SLAs - escalate in advance where an SLA may not be met. First point of contact for the local Member Firms and TTP/Suppliers 
• Liaise with the individual applicants and HR counterpart to provide advice and to give alternative options based on the input received from the Member Firm involved
• Support ad hoc client project, mapping exercises and technology updates 
• Identify opportunities to improve working practices and share suggestions with Managers and Sr. Managers
• Support new client transitions and work closely with wider KDN GMS team members in order to ensure that the transition is progressing
• Review client facing reports and QBRs for accuracy. Chase the local Member Firms whenever data is missing
• Keep client specific templates and other materials up to date. Create engagement specific process guides whenever there is a gap or change on the process
• Demonstrate ability to work independently and commitment to delivering exceptional client service by reviewing work products of more junior members of the team and ensuring own work products are of high qualityEnsure High Quality of Process Delivery:  

• Demonstrate awareness of KPMG's risk management policies and procedures and support engagement management.                                                
• Work with attention to detail to deliver results to agreed standards.
• Follow defined work processes without unauthorised deviation.
• Make optimal use of financial resources.
• Prioritise and deal with daily tasks to make most productive use of time.
• Demonstrate resilience under pressure.

• Contribute to and abide by team decisions.

Risk Management: 

• Ability to recognise and raise potential matters of risk for the client and/or the firm to Line Manager for review and resolution in a timely manner.               
• Good awareness of firm's policies and ability to raise concerns to a more senior member of the team for resolution.     
    
  
Billing and Client Engagement Management:

• Ensure all time bookings are accurate and timely and achieve chargeable hours target.
• Support the manager with monitoring engagements' financials and ensure timely invoice production.


Technology: 

• Supervise and maintain applicants' status and information in the KIM/ LinkGo tracking system.
• Review and support the consultants to ensure up-to-date records of applicants' status and information in the KIM / LinkGo tracking system.
• Review/ correct (if necessary) expiry report and share with the client when report is final and complete
• Review and distribute WIP report and share with the client when report is final and error free

 

This is the job for you if you have:

 

• Undergraduate University degree preferred
• Demonstrate an understanding of immigration processes and common issues; keep informed of current immigration developments, trends, and best practises on a globally level. 
• Understand basic and complex application processes.
• Previous experience in global immigration coordination of medium and large clients
• Data analysis and interpretation skills.
• Highly motivated and problem-solving attitude.
• Ability to maintain and enhance partnership with clients, global vendors and local offices
• Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized 
• Ability to guide, train and mentor junior team members
• Project Management: Organisation and prioritisation skills including ability to project manage multiple Global Immigration clients and work under pressure.
• Strong professionalism and overall confidence 
• Highly efficient with technology/ tools  
• Proficient communicator in written and spoken English (other languages advantageous but not required) 
• Ability to build relationships/ trust both with the internal teams and clients 
• Experience and ability to work with confidential material   
• Proficiency in MS Office tools
