Service Line Information:
At KPMG, our ENR (Energy, Natural Resources & Renewables) Data and AI Team focuses on enabling clients to optimise the use of their data to deliver on their business strategy and unlock strategic value. As we expand into the Middle Eastern market, we are building a new team to deliver a comprehensive suite of Data and AI solutions specifically tailored for the Energy, Natural Resources, and Renewables (ENR) sector. Our services include data strategy, governance and data management, data cleanse and migration, data architecture and AI/ML solutions.
The Role:
As a Director focused on Data and AI, you will be pivotal in driving our expansion into the Middle Eastern market. You will work with a broad range of top-tier ENR clients, develop and manage the overall pipeline, and tailor business development strategies for each of the Middle Eastern markets. You will collaborate with alliances teams and other internal stakeholders to leverage existing relationships and create new opportunities. Your role will involve working closely with clients to understand their needs, develop proposals, and ensure the successful delivery of our Data and AI services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough market analysis to understand the specific needs and opportunities in across the Middle East region within the ENR sector.
- Develop and execute tailored business development strategies for each market.
- Develop and manage the overall sales pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with alliances and partnerships teams to leverage existing relationships and develop new strategic alliances.
- Convert leads and opportunities into successful sales by effectively communicating the value of our Data and AI services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and ENR industry influencers.
- Lead sales presentations, product demonstrations, and negotiations to secure new business contracts.
- Produce thought leadership content, including whitepapers, case studies, and presentations, to establish KPMG as a leader in data services.
- Work with the proposition lead to shape new Data and AI propositions for the ENR sector.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform business development strategies.
- Provide regular updates and reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and sales performance.
- Structure and lead the delivery of multiple Data and AI engagements, from initial scoping to deployment. This includes risk management, quality management and financial management.
The Person:
We are looking for a dynamic individual with high energy who can inspire change and make an impact within the team and client organisation. While prior consulting experience is not essential, we are looking for individuals who can demonstrate the required core consulting skills and have experience in Business Development. For example:
- Extensive experience in business development and sales within the data consulting industry.
- In-depth experience of working across the ENR sector with a deep understanding of the technology and challenges.
- Proven track record of successfully selling data solutions, including data management, ERP systems, and AI/ML solutions.
- Strong understanding of data strategy, governance, and management, as well as experience with tools like Informatica.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to the Middle East.
- Experience working across multiple markets with diverse needs.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience working in the Middle Eastern market and the ENR sector.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of data management platforms such as Informatica and Collibra.
- Certification in relevant data management and analytics products.
- Master's degree in a related field.
