Happy Pride Month 2022!
Across KPMG, we’re committed to creating an inclusive environment where all colleagues can come as they are, thrive and reach their full potential, whatever their identity or background. For this Pride season, we’re running events and activities for our colleagues to get involved and show their support – from our Global Pride event to marching in the Pride parades across the UK, there’s something for everyone.
- Global Pride Summit 23 June will bring together our people and leaders from KPMG member firms across the globe to share their personal stories around this year’s key themes of safety, self-identification and allyship.
- Our Breathe Pride families event 28 June featuring our partner sponsors Mel Knight and Gordon Shearer.
- Our Breathe event on LGBT+ and Religion & Faith 30 June
- In-Person Pride marches: For the first time since 2019, we will be marching in Birmingham, London and Manchester later in the year!
Breathe Network’s 20th Anniversary
We’re also marking our Breathe Network’s 20th anniversary this year. Breathe is KPMG's award-winning LGBT+ network that focuses on promoting inclusion, diversity and equity in the workplace. You don't need to identify as LGBT+ to join Breathe or participate – each of our employee networks are open and inclusive to all colleagues.
Over the course of its 20-year history, Breathe has not only provided a safe space for LGBTQ+ colleagues within our firm, but has also engaged in external partnerships to drive inclusion in our communities too. Most recently, in partnership with Tent, a charity that supports refugees in the UK, our Breathe Network have also committed to mentoring 50 LGBT+ refugees over the next three years.
Our People in action
We’ve outlined bold ambitions and set long-term targets to 2030 as part of our new inclusion, diversity and equity plan – Our KPMG: A fairer future for all. Learn more about our targeted action plans for supporting LGBTQ+ inclusion on Our Impact site.
Continuing the conversation
Throughout June, our colleagues will be sharing their stories on LinkedIn – keep an eye out for our colleagues posting on LinkedIn.
